Tomorrow is Karin & Jeffrey’s wedding!!

Now, lets wind back the clock? In high school, I was part of the Vietnamese Chinese Association (VCA). Every year, we would come up with a traditional dance for the Chinese New Year and perform for the school and various communities. And these group dances were fancaayy, we had outfits, fans, scarfs, hats… (Asian people love utilizing props). The week before our performance, one of the dancers wasn’t able to commit anymore. It became difficult to execute the group formations with a missing person. I didn’t know Karin well then, but I knew she was pretty much part of every club and always kept busy. When she heard about the situation, she immediately and cheerfully stepped up to the plate, “I’ll do it!” It wasn’t easy learning everything in the short amount of time, but she pulled it off and saved our club! From then on,  I was always thankful to know and now have her as a friend today. She’s Karin Tran and she deserved an awesome partner to match her.

Simply put… when you put two driven, charming, and adorable people together, you get The Bundle of Karin & Jeffrey. The more I’ve gotten to know them through the years, the more I’m at lost for words at how great they are individually and together. They’re able to pick up nearly anything and just make it work… School, career, travel adventures, marathons, and themed parties (Game of Thrones, woot woot!). Its no wonder that they immediately gravitated towards each other when they first met. It was after class, Jeff and his friends walked out with Karin. Then, he couldn’t help but walk her to her car even though it was out of his way… Way to make it obvious! But hey, bold moves sometimes pays off!

As for their engagement, it wouldn’t be Karin & Jeffrey if they didn’t want something spectacular. And it really, really was.. we shot all over Banff National Park in Canada. Moraine Lake was especially a magical experience for all of us. The water was seriously that blue straight out of camera. The beauty of Mother Nature surrounding this couple just took my breathe away… (literally because it was so cold, I could see it!). Props to Karin for stepping out of her cozy comfort zone (once again) to pose in freezing temps. They hold a place dear to me and I can’t wait for the big day tomorrow!
