Tien likes winter and Eric likes summer. She likes the cold and can’t stand the heat. He likes the warmth and … well he’ll have to deal with the cold =) Photographing in the snow is beautiful but not easy (especially when I forgot to bring my gloves). We were working in temperatures below 30 and were slapped around by icy winds. I even saw a gush of wind knocked little Tien over haha! But through all the hardships of icy roads and freezing to the point where my fingers fell off and our communication turned numb in coldness, it was the best day ever.

The sun finally decides to join us for this photo.

Ice on Ice

She said “Yes!”She actually knew a lot about dry wheat and long grasses. More reasons for him to admire her.
Getting cold at the lake… but they have body heat. I have my lovely camera body. We’re all happy.
I usually don’t do “The peek-a-boo from the tree”, but this shot actually came out pretty cute!

Winter is the best time to have a hot chocolate and famous Julian pie.

This was a fun shot, I called it “The PDA”. People behind me were coming out of their shops to witness their contagious love and cars were honking (in a good way). We love friendly towns people during a snow day!I kinda have an obsession with any type of wooden fence. Especially when I saw this one!

With Tom Ham’s Lighthouse by the water, it was the perfect venue for their wedding reception. I love stealing them away for a quick sunset photo before the night begins.

Her parents reaction to seeing their daughter as a bride was speechless and stunned.They opt for a First Look. It was intimate and their eyes were full of excitement. No more nerves and best part for me: we gained plenty time for portraits before the ceremony!
Stephanie and I had a lot of fun with this beautiful morning light peaking out over the hills. =)
#1 Perk of having two photographers: amazing different perspectives!They had a children choir at there ceremony! Their youthful, innocent, and beautiful harmonies gave everyone goosebumps and chills. They both had to make speeches for each other, how cuteeeeRight after Church, the sun was already starting to set into the overcast, but I was able to steal them away for some quick portraits at Venice Canals. Stephanie and I got all these photos done in 20 minutes and it was nearly dark by then, not bad eh? I’m so glad we were able to pull it off and end up with some beautiful Just Married portraits for them. Kim: “Can we do a fobby picture?!” haha I adore her and obviously, so does Michael =)I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped when I walked into their reception.
Kim is a teacher so how clever it was that they decided to labeled all their tables this way.Love their cake. YUM
These homemade center pieces really brought the room together, aren’t they gorgeous?Reception lighting is a very important factor to consider because it makes such a huge difference in photos. The dances were just magical.
